Der „König der toxischen Männlichkeit“. Teenager lieben seinen Auftritt als Alpha-Mann. Die Polizei ermittelt wegen Vergewaltigung und Menschenhandel. Wer ist Social Media-Star Andrew Tate?
Er ist eine der meist gegoogelten Personen im Netz mit mehr Aufrufen als Rihanna und behauptet sogar Billionär zu sein. Trotz Vorwürfen Teil des organisierten Verbrechens zu sein, hat er eine riesige Gefolgschaft junger Männer. Und wird verehrt wie ein Guru.
Tate nutzt die sozialen Medien und verbindet sie mit alten, gewaltverherrlichenden Vorstellungen von Männlichkeit. Frauen sollten gehorsam sein wie Hunde, sagt Tate, dann könne er sich um sie kümmern. Aber sie sollten nicht seine Autos fahren, denn das könnten sie nicht, und seine Autos seien teuer. Und er sagt: Vergewaltigungsopfer müssten auch "Verantwortung für die Tat übernehmen". All das gehört zu seiner Inszenierung als fragwürdiges Vorbild für junge Männer. Der ehemalige Kickbox-Weltmeister und Webcam-Zuhälter verdient sein Geld inzwischen mit Online-Kursen. Selbst als er im Dezember 2022 in Rumänien wegen Menschenhandels und Vergewaltigungsvorwürfen in Untersuchungshaft saß, konnte man sich von ihm digital erklären lassen, wie man ein "Alphamann" wird.
Tates grundlose Misogynie und sein Narzissmus „holt euch, was euch gehört“ scheinen für junge Männer verlockend zu sein. Tate ist eine Berühmtheit, aber nicht nach den Kriterien der traditionellen Medienwelt. Man kennt ihn nicht von den Titelseiten der Zeitungen oder Zeitschriften, nicht aus Talkshows oder den Nachrichten. Und doch kennt ihn fast jeder männliche Teenager. Andrew Tate ist woanders. In den sozialen Medien. Auf TikTok wurden Videos mit dem Hashtag #AndrewTate insgesamt mehr als 13 Milliarden Mal angeklickt.
In Athen gingen nach der Verhaftung von Andrew Tate Jugendliche auf die Straße und forderten seine Freilassung. Schulen in Großbritannien organisieren Workshops, um Lehrer darin zu schulen, wie sie mit dem Einfluss von Andrew Tate auf Schüler umgehen können.

BARBICAN BRASSIERE, European dishes with a Modern twist 🤤🌪

I was invited to dine at the Barbican Brassiere located inside the Barbican building. Upon arrival, we were introduced to the lovely staff and a stunning view of the city.
The Starters, Mains and Desserts were immaculate in taste as well was decoration. My favourite dish was most likely the Pan seared Halibut with Caviar.
Altogether, the experience and dining was amazing and I rate the restaurant, 8.3/10. The only thing I would say to reconsider is the carpeting between the bar and the seats. Apart from this minor factor, I would definitely come here again before or after watching a theatre show. (My Neighbour Totoro is currently on at the theatre).
